Water Tests

Water Testing Results
Starting this school year, schools by law must now test for lead in its drinking water.  IDEAL Environmental out of Bloomington, Illinois, performed the tests for the school district.  Any initial test that registers over 5 parts per billion initiates a mandatory plan to rectify the lead content.  Attached are the test results for all 3 schools in the district.  Three water sources were found to be over the 5.0 threshold:
ES: handicap sink in girls’ restroom in the grades ¾ corridor
MS: Porcelain drinking fountains in girls’ and boys’ locker rooms
HS: Kitchen pot filler
These water sources have been taken out of service and will be either replaced or cleaned and then tested again.

Parents who have a student in any of the three buildings will receive a separate letter pertaining to the test results by November 20.
