Administrator Profile

Casey Downey was a special education teacher for several years before becoming principal.  She enjoys interacting with the students on several different platforms and seeing them succeed in the classroom and in extracurricular events.

Ms. Downey graduated from Milledgeville High School in 2006 and Illinois State University in 2010.  Her first teaching position was in Winnebago, Illinois where she taught 6th grade special education for two years and coached fresh-soph girls’ basketball. Mrs. Downey came to Stockton School District in 2012 in which she taught high school special education and assisted with girls’ basketball. Mrs. Downey earned her Master’s degree in School Leadership in 2014 from Concordia University in Chicago, IL.

Mrs. Downey lives in Stockton with her husband Sean and her daughters Brynley and Adalyn. She enjoys spending time with her family, watching and attending sporting events, and helping her husband with their dog training and kennel business Blackhawk Ridge Retrievers.
